Poor 'ol Jack!
Jack Straw was never a politician I particularly liked as he was far too liberal and PC for my liking, so it’s a bit ironic that he gets castigated for saying that he asks Muslim women to remove the hijab (or whatever it’s called) in his constituency meetings. I can’t help thinking that there are tough times ahead and in a worse-case scenario we could start to go the way of Yugoslavia, especially in northern England. Though France seems even more in a mess than the UK.

Silly newspapers and silly extremists blowing it all out of proportion. He merely asks if they wouldn't mind removing the face veil (there is another female in the room also). I think he has every right to ask, as long as he doesn't insist. If the lady is that uncomfortable she can simply say "no".
I hope we don't go the way of France though, no wonder they had so many riots over there with funny shapped bread that's got really hard crusts... its enough to send anyone into a rage.
