Good TV. Bad TV

6 weeks ago I had a daily TV intake of almost zero. My intake usually consisted of one dose of Newsnight per week plus a bit of sport when it was on and an occasional documentary about some war-torn ex-Soviet republic, or the continuing economic development of China.

After a couple of weeks in Mark’s place this has increased about 600% to quite worrying levels. I find myself gawping at the TV nearly every night. I’m grateful for being introduced to ‘Life on Mars’ a truly hilarious police comedy set in 1973. But the rest of it is a diet of junk. I never thought I’d be watching these property/home improvement shows. And I really don’t understand how I’ve developed a taste for Hollyoaks - I thought I’d be immune. I'm not sure if go to the Czech Republic, I'd miss too many episodes. What has Taylor done to me?!

Join the dark side Anton, why resist, it's so much easier to relax and watch TV :)

I am disappointed. Whilst tv specifically you have not said is a bad thing, the fact is you will watch it to such an excess and admit to the quality of the programmes being so bad. My advice out of this cycle is to use youtube to watch the programmes you want to watch and not those that our selectively cherned out to keep you watching whilst simultanously lowering your IQ.
It is tough to get out of it, look at Shiz what a basket case. He switches his tv on as soon as he gets in and records programmes on a fictional situation natural. Entertaining I question it especially when the sense of the redictulous and extremes have ventured to such non-believeable levels when you consider the odds of probability.

You need to get yourself into Neighbours Anton. Entertainment at its best and most hard hitting!!

And Peter needs some English Language lessons, me thinks!

Indeed, Peter's grammar and spelling is atrocious. Looks like it was originally written in Greek or something and translated on AltaVista.
